Dr McQuillan is trained to deliver ultrasound guided injections to provide significant relief. By using point of care ultrasound imaging Dr McQuillan is able to demonstrate the area causing pain, accurately deposit steroid solution into this area and if applicable, remove excess fluid.

Carpal tunnel syndrome can be diagnosed through the use of ultrasound, by measuring the diameter of the median nerve. Following on from this, ultrasound can be used to ensure that steroid solution is deposited surrounding the nerve to provide relief.
Dr McQuillan Steroid Injections
Dr. McQuillan (MBChB) is an experiened general practitioner who works in Antrim, Larne and Belfast. He undertook 7 years of hospital work, in specialties including acute medicine, geriatrics, respiratory and cardiology. After becoming a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners he developed a keen interest in musculoskeletal medicine and administering steroid injections.
